LOS ANGELES, July 15, 2010 – FX has set its fall schedule with the return of three hit original series and the premiere of one new original drama. Sons of Anarchy returns for its third season on September 7 at 10:00 PM ET/PT, while FX’s newest original drama, Terriers, premieres on September 8 at 10:00 PM ET/PT. FX’s Thursday night comedy combo rolls out the following week as It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns for its sixth season at 10:00 PM ET/PT on September 16 followed immediately by the second season of The League at 10:30 PM ET/PT.

Starring Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal and Ron Perlman, the critically acclaimed Sons of Anarchy kicks off FX’s fall season on Sept. 7 at 10 PM. Sons is an adrenaline-rich drama with darkly comedic undertones that explores a notorious outlaw motorcycle club and its desire to protect its livelihood while ensuring that their simple, sheltered town of Charming, California remains exactly that: charming. The MC must confront threats from drug dealers, corporate developers, hate groups and overzealous law officers. Sons of Anarchy was created by Kurt Sutter who is Executive Producer/Showrunner. John Linson and Art Linson are Executive Producers. The series is produced by FX Productions and Fox 21. FX will air for the third season of Sons.

Debuting on Sept. 8 at 10 PM, Terriers, from creator/executive producer Ted Griffin (Ocean’s Eleven) and executive producer Shawn Ryan (The Shield), is a comedic drama starring Donal Logue (The Tao of Steve, Damages) and Michael Raymond-James (True Blood). It centers on “Hank Dolworth” (Logue), an ex-cop who partners with his best friend “Britt Pollack” (Raymond-James) to launch an unlicensed private investigation business. The duo, both struggling with maturity issues, solve crimes while avoiding danger and responsibility. Craig Brewer (Hustle and Flow, The Shield) directed the pilot episode. Terriers is produced by Fox 21. FX will air 13 episodes of Terriers.

The sixth season of critically acclaimed hit comedy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns Thursdays at 10 PM beginning Sept. 16. The series stars Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day, Kaitlin Olson and Danny DeVito as the self-centered owners of Paddy’s Pub in Philadelphia who will do just about anything, no matter how reprehensible, in attempt to better their own situation. The series was created by McElhenney and is executive produced by McElhenney, Day, Howerton, Michael Rotenberg and Nick Frenkel. The series is produced by FX productions. FX will air 13 episodes for season six of Sunny.

After a successful rookie season in ‘09, The League (9/16) returns to its Thursday, 10:30 PM time slot following Sunny. Set against the backdrop of a fantasy football league, The League is comedy about friendship, marriage, parenting, and growing up…or refusing to grow up. It was created by the husband-and-wife team of Jeff Schaffer (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld) and Jackie Marcus Schaffer (Disturbia, EuroTrip) who serve as executive producers. The ensemble features Mark Duplass, Stephen Rannazzisi, Nick Kroll, Paul Scheer, Katie Aselton and Jon Lajoie. The League is produced by FX Productions. FX will air 13 episodes of season two of The League.

Tinsley Mortimer’s CW reality show, “High Society,” has been canned after just one season, Page Six has learned. Sources say CW made the decision after Tinsley, her mother, Dale Mercer, and sister Dabney complained about the way they were portrayed — especially over hysterical antics with Tinsley’s arch-enemy Devorah Rose.
An insider said, “Tinsley was told she would have some editorial control, but she was horrified to find she had none and was being put in situations where people were manipulated to act in a certain way. She wasn’t happy with the way it came out.” Neither were viewers, with figures dropping below 1 million. Producers had lined up Courtenay Semel, Brittny Gastineau and Lady Victoria Hervey as possibles for a second season. A network rep said, “No decision has been made at this point.” But Tinsley is said to be working on a proposal for a new reality show. Her rep didn’t get back to us

“18 TO LIFE” BRINGS SUMMER LOVING TO THE CW Romantic Comedy to Air Tuesday Nights Beginning August 3

July 15, 2010 (Burbank, CA) ─ Summer is about to get a lot hotter when The CW unleashes 18 TO LIFE, the hit Canadian comedy series about a modern-day Romeo and Juliet. The network will air all 12 half-hour episodes from the premiere season of 18 TO LIFE on Tuesday nights beginning August 3, with back-to-back episodes airing from 9:00-9:30 and 9:30-10:00 p.m. ET.

In the premiere episode of 18 TO LIFE, when Tom and Jessie – 18-year-old next-door neighbors who have grown up together – run off and get married, their warring families are forced to become one in this hilarious multi-generational half-hour about relationships, true love, and who takes out the garbage. The series explores intimate relationships in combustible combinations as husband-wife, mom-dad, and in-laws all struggle to influence the newlyweds and control the extended family’s destiny. Tom and Jessie move into his parents’ attic and their marriage becomes public property, creating an endless string of challenges for the couple. As this new love blooms audaciously amidst the two settled marriages, it stirs up new frictions and old passions in both sets of parents.

18 TO LIFE stars Stacey Farber (“Degrassi: The Next Generation”) and Michael Seater (“The Sin Bin,” “Life With Derek”) as the young lovers, along with Peter Keleghan (“Billable Hours,” “The Newsroom”), Al Goulem (“The Tournament,” “Stardom”), Ellen David (“Surviving My Mother,” “The Business”), and Angela Asher (“Degrassi: The Next Generation,” “Queer as Folk”) as the parents, as well as Jesse Rath (“The Trotsky,” “Prom Wars”), and Tiio Horn (“Wild Hunt,” “The Trotsky”).

The show, which has just begun production on its second season in Montreal, Canada, is a co-production between Galafilm Inc. and Sound Venture Inc. in association with CBC Television. The series airs in Canada on the CBC, and is distributed internationally by ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

The series is created, written, and executive produced by Gemini Award-winning writer Derek Schreyer (“Murdoch Mysteries,” “Cold Squad”), International Emmy Award-winning producer Karen Troubetzkoy (“15/Love,” “The Magician’s House”) and PrimeTime Emmy Award-winning Galafilm CEO Arnie Gelbart.
